A Review & Gallery: Our First Sleep Retreat

After hosting our first Sleep Retreat in the southern highlands, we spoke with Co-Founder, Shea Morrison about the dreamy experience.

Last month, we held our first Sleep Retreat in beautiful Bowral NSW with a wonderful group of guests. Danielle & I started The Goodnight Co. four years ago, when we were sleep deprived Mums after just having had our youngest children.  We developed a sleep business originally providing some luxury products to help the world fall back in love with sleep, launching with Silk Pillowcases and Sleep Masks. We then spent the next couple of years researching and surveying hundreds of people about their sleep problems, gradually developing many more lines of products to help our customers build sleep rituals to solve these problems.

With sleep problems still on the rise, we were constantly being asked for more information on how to help people re-discover quality sleep. So the brainstorming began. We thought about short workshops, podcasts, apps, lectures, video streaming, eBooks, online courses, and more... Nothing was quite right - we wanted a mixture of education and relaxation, science and deep sleep, meditation and mindfulness. So we realised a Retreat could be the answer for personalised help with sleep. We found the perfect location in the Southern Highlands of Bowral, we knew having a beautiful location with lots of space to connect with nature, fresh air, nourishing food and a space to support our guests, who could walk away feeling equiped with the tools to re-build their sleep rituals.

We loved connecting with each of our guests and were blown away with the feedback and how successful the retreat was.

We are running our next Sleep Retreat in June at The Calile Hotel in Brisbane with a focus on travel recovery. One of the pillars of our business focusses on travel and sleep and we couldn’t be more excited to be partnering with The Calile Hotel to run our first travel recovery Sleep Retreat. Please feel free to contact us to find out more.

If you're looking for a more nature-centric getaway in the Southern Highlands, our next Bowral Sleep Retreat will be hosted in September. Contact us to join the waitlist. For now, we hope you enjoy the gallery of images from our first Sleep Retreat in Bowral.

Sweet dreams,

Shea
