My sleep ritual is one of the most important parts of my day and, thinking back to way before even starting The Goodnight Co., I have always really had a sleep ritual but I guess I just didn’t know it! For as long as I can remember, I would always calculate backwards from what time I needed to wake up to make sure I was getting at least 8 hours sleep. I can function on 6–7 hours but I know I am going to have a great day if I can get 8!
Until adding the amino sleep complex formulas to our range, my sleep ritual mostly looked like this: I like to try to go to bed around 9.00 – 9.30pm with the aim of being asleep between 9.30 – 10.00pm (I normally start my day just before 5.00am). Running two businesses and family with two small children means that there often isn’t a lot of ‘me’ time, particularly in the evening, but I recently invested in an infrared sauna and I LOVE IT! You will find me between saunas and magnesium bath soaks as many evenings as possible.
Now I feel even better in the mornings after introducing the 'Deep Sleep' Activated Charcoal powder. Most nights after putting the kids to bed, I make a pot of Goodnight Tea or a charcoal deep sleep drink and have either a sauna or soak in a bath, followed by the magnesium oral spray.
What has changed since taking the powder?
I have always been a good sleeper but sometimes I do struggle to go to sleep, or wake up in the middle of the night. Since taking the powder, I find I consistently go to sleep easily and if I wake up, I find it easier to go back to sleep. I also feel more refreshed in the morning, with more clarity.
I have been using the powder in my bliss balls too, which makes it super easy to remember to take the powder (who can resist a bliss ball?!).
